If your fridge is losing its chill, leaking refrigerant could be the cause — and that glowing UV dye is one of the ways we track it down.
When a sealed system repair has already been done, there's a good chance a dye dryer was installed. That means a new tech can inspect with a UV light to detect leaks in the refrigerant lines, connection points, or evaporator coils — fast and non-invasive.
But if your fridge hasn’t had prior sealed system work, our process starts with a nitrogen pressure test. We charge the system and listen for any whistling that could point to a leak. If nothing is found, we’ll install access valves and a dye filter-drier at the compressor. After a short time, the UV-reactive dye mixes with the refrigerant, helping us spot the leak and get your unit cooling again.
